Soon time to rip the old chains out …half the engine on the bench right now:
Have decided to change cam chains
Have started to tear it apart, drained the coolant and removed the engine sides. New colors for the year since I have changed the tanks and front fairings: Sounds like have some bad cam chain clatter: Found some bolt I had forgotten to tighten so hoped that caused the sound but no: Better add plenty of loctite (thread lock) to the bolts this time and tighten properly:
